Valentine's Day and Birthday!!!

Valentines' weekend, we made a last minute trip! Will's little brother Beau plays basketball for a Jr. college in Monterey. He had a game that weekend and we happened to have school of on the next Monday, so Will and I decided to go surprise him and see him play. Monterey was beautiful and a ton of fun. We went to the aquarium and drove along the beautiful coast.

When planning the trip, 2 days before we left, we decided to go up to San Francisco as well, since neither of us had ever been there. It was a blast. We spent Friday and Saturday in Monterey. Then drove to San Francisco Saturday afternoon. We got there and went straight to the Golden Gate Bridge right at sunset. By the time we left there, it was dark and SCARY. I had given up on San Fran. It was nasty and dirty. We were scared to park the car and walk to our hotel! But needless to say, I am glad we did. The next morning we woke up early and ran, literally, all over the whole city, and it was a blast!!!! Highlights from the trip.

At the Monterey Bay Aquarium

Golden Gate Bridge

Waiting for a trolley- for over and hour!

Pier 39, where we had dinner and walked around the next day.
Yummy Crepes for breakfast on the pier...Boudin Sourdough Bread

Ghirardelli Chocolate Factory
Th 'Golden Gate' Ice-cream sundae- AKA expensive banana split! :)
Lumbard Street- The Crookedest St.

We had so much fun together. Sunday night for Valentines day, we went to the Cheesecake Factory and waited for 3 hours! It was crazy, but still a ton of fun. We we exhausted from running around all day, so it was nice to sit ans relax. We also walked around the Stores at Union Square, which was fun too! We flew out Monday afternoon, so we got up really early Monday morning, because the guy at our hotel told us that we needed to go to Haight and Ashburry... and that there were really nice shops there. It was so dumb... note to self- do not go there- full of scary/crazy hippies and bums everywhere, even at 9 in the morning! It was an interesting way to end our quick trip to San Francisco. I told Will that the next time we go back, he will be able to help carry the baby (or kid) around! :)

Baby Update!!!

Well this post is a little late... This is me at 16 weeks... I thought I was huge and that I was 'showing' ... what was I thinking?
These were only taken one day apart.... Some days I looked Pregnant, others I just looked bigger than normal.

Here I am at 20 weeks! Half way there...and once again, these were only taken days apart, yet my belly looks different in all of them. (Some were even on the same day!)

Same Day

Enough with the boring pictures of me and my belly... now for the exciting part of what is INSIDE there!

It's a BOY! We had already decided if it was a boy that we would name him after Will. He and his dad have the same name. Will's grandma is Billie and her father was William. We decided to keep the namesake alive and name him after his daddy and grandpa-

William Trent Scarlett III

However, Will goes by Will and his dad goes by Trent... so baby will go by TREY!

Baby Trey showing off his long legs....

Cute Little Foot
Profile and arm!

After finding out it was a boy we went out to celebrate and bought him a few little outfits!

I am now 22 weeks, and we are getting more and more excited every day and can't wait for him to arrive! He has really started moving around and I love being able to feel him. It makes me realize that there actually is something in there, and my stomach isn't just growing! It is such a special feeling, sometimes I just lay there waiting for him to wiggle around! I wish Will got to feel him more, the other night he was really squirming, and Will was able to feel him from the outside (a little). I figured I better document these feelings I am having right now, because I am sure in the weeks to come I won't appreciate the arm in my ribs or the foot in my back, but for now I LOVE the little movements he is making!!!

More pictures!!!!

This was the first picture we got of our little 'gummy bear' (as the doctor so lovingly kept referring to it as at this apt.- I prefer to refer to it as a new fruit each week.... i think it was a prune here!) 9 weeks This is another profile of baby from our last apt (12 weeks)- aka a peach. Apparently no one else can tell what the other one is (from the last post), beside it's mama... it is so clear to me :) This one looks a little creepy to me, but whatever... I just can't wait to see it's cute face/profile in real life!

Love you Baby!

Welcome Scarlett Baby!!!!

Well it's official... we are expecting baby to arrive June 29th 2010! We couldn't be more excited! We have actually know for quite some time now, in fact i took the pregnancy test right before I posted my last blog!!!!

I found out a few days before Will's birthday... so I decided to keep it a secret from him and tell him on his birthday! Every other birthday surprise that I had for him had been spoiled, so I thought what better a surprise this could be. Except for the fact that I had to keep it inside. I think that this is the best secret I have ever kept... I didn't even tell my mom or sister (probably one of the hardest things ever, besides not telling Will right away!) I kept it is for 2 days!!! I kept trying to get Will to open his present early, but he is stubborn and refused!!!

I went and got UNLV baby clothes, one for a boy and one for a girl. I wrapped them up with the pregnancy test and got him a card about being a good DAD.... He was a little confused after opening the card!
I woke him up early... he doesn't know what he is about to find out!!!!
The confusion after reading the card....
Seeing the baby clothes!

The officialness of the pregnancy test :)

Will telling the good newss to our family, by showing them the presents I got him!

Needless to say, we are so happy and excited to start our little family! June 29th couldn't come sooner.... as long as I keep feeling the way I do. Haven't been sick yet, and let's cross our fingers!

Finally

So a lot has been going on lately. Got our house, painted, moved, house sat, celebrated Fourth of July, and a trip to Utah! This post will be a narrated tour of pictures through the last couple of weeks!
Sorry in advance for the pictures that are sideways.... it wasn't turning and I didn't have the patience to fix them... so just turn your head. :)
After signing our life away at the title company for our house!

Day 1- After getting into our house, we decided that we coudln't wait and we needed to paint. Mind you, we decided this at about 8 at night. Alyssa and I trucked on over to Home Depot and got all the paint. We had decided we were going to pull an all-nighter. We just couldn't understand why the man behind the paint counter was laughing at us after telling him the dimensions of the house, getting the paint, and telling him we were going to paint it all in one night! I now know why he was laughing at us....
This is my wonderful mom helping paint at our all nighter! Thanks mom for your help and for providing the much-needed caffine for the night!

Alyssa (The best sister ever. I couldn't have made it throught the move without her! Thanks Alyssa) and Sarah helping paint. We figured since we were all teachers and are on summer break, we could handle the all-nighter!

Painting Away!
The end of all-nighter numero uno! My phone says 4:00 AM... and if anyone knows me... this is a miracle, I am usually out by about 10 pm!

Painting...Day 2- The man at the paint counter was right! We didn't get it all done in one night, but we did get the whole downstairs done. Day 2 consisted of painting upstairs!
Thanks Kari (Will's mom) for coming and painting. Couldn't have gotten all throse rooms done without you!

Dad painting the TALL, TALL wall! Thanks for reaching all the spots we couldn't and for having the gadgets to take care of anything and everything!

Me, by the end of all-nighter numero dose. I was definately not as pleasant by the end of this all-nighter! Thanks everyone for putting up with me!

Lincoln stealing my camera, thanks for the house, and for coming over to help tape (your favorite) and paint!

Day 3- Last wall needing paint! Alyssa beautifully wrote our names before fully covering it!

Day3 (still)- We were very blessed and were given a bunch of really nice furniture. We are very grateful for all the blessing that we have been given with this house, and we are so lucky to have such great family and friends to help us along the way!

These guys did great! This stuff was HEAVY and the turning stairs didn't help either!

Thanks for all your help!

Taking a break after a long day of moving! You guys are the best! Thanks for all you do!

Going CRAZY travaling ALL the way from my new house to Alyssa's new house!

Fourth of July! Thanks Brandon and Megan for coming to hang out with us!

Trip to Utah.... Alexa and Emma with matching braids!

Alyssa taking Sarah and I to Ikea for the first time!!! It is amazing there!

Sarah, Alyssa, and I at the Temple Open house. It was beautiful!

One of the best days of the trip! Going to see Whitney and Baby Sawyer! I miss you guys.

It has been a crazy last couple of weeks, but they have been great!
Pictures of finished product of the house to come, OR just come by and visit to check it ouyt for yourself! We have a cute guest room.....
