Valentine's Day and Birthday!!!

Valentines' weekend, we made a last minute trip! Will's little brother Beau plays basketball for a Jr. college in Monterey. He had a game that weekend and we happened to have school of on the next Monday, so Will and I decided to go surprise him and see him play. Monterey was beautiful and a ton of fun. We went to the aquarium and drove along the beautiful coast.

When planning the trip, 2 days before we left, we decided to go up to San Francisco as well, since neither of us had ever been there. It was a blast. We spent Friday and Saturday in Monterey. Then drove to San Francisco Saturday afternoon. We got there and went straight to the Golden Gate Bridge right at sunset. By the time we left there, it was dark and SCARY. I had given up on San Fran. It was nasty and dirty. We were scared to park the car and walk to our hotel! But needless to say, I am glad we did. The next morning we woke up early and ran, literally, all over the whole city, and it was a blast!!!! Highlights from the trip.

At the Monterey Bay Aquarium

Golden Gate Bridge

Waiting for a trolley- for over and hour!

Pier 39, where we had dinner and walked around the next day.
Yummy Crepes for breakfast on the pier...Boudin Sourdough Bread

Ghirardelli Chocolate Factory
Th 'Golden Gate' Ice-cream sundae- AKA expensive banana split! :)
Lumbard Street- The Crookedest St.

We had so much fun together. Sunday night for Valentines day, we went to the Cheesecake Factory and waited for 3 hours! It was crazy, but still a ton of fun. We we exhausted from running around all day, so it was nice to sit ans relax. We also walked around the Stores at Union Square, which was fun too! We flew out Monday afternoon, so we got up really early Monday morning, because the guy at our hotel told us that we needed to go to Haight and Ashburry... and that there were really nice shops there. It was so dumb... note to self- do not go there- full of scary/crazy hippies and bums everywhere, even at 9 in the morning! It was an interesting way to end our quick trip to San Francisco. I told Will that the next time we go back, he will be able to help carry the baby (or kid) around! :)
