house... shmouse...

So, we had been house hunting for what seemed like forever. Lincoln was awesome and would take us out every Wednesday to look at houses. Every house I was able to find something wrong withit or just didn't like it. It got to the point, to where I would just go with Lincoln, then if we found one that I actually liked, we would take Will to go see it. Well, it took a while, but we found a house that Will and I agreed on and fell in love with it. But it seems like the wait now is taking even longer than the search, for it to actually become ours. We put in an offer, got turned down because the stupid Wells Fargo guy, then the other people fell through, the agent called Lincoln and said it was ours! We were so excited, if you think this story ends here you are mistaken! :) We had to write up a new offer and submit it, but some how between 7 am when we submitted our offer and 3pm... they got another offer. We ended up increasing our offer and it was accepted!!! YAY!!! Still not the end.... Got the house inspected, everything looked good! Now we are just waiting and waiting and waiting. Durring the wait Wells Fargo sends out an appraiser, to check everything out. They pick who goes and we just have to foot the bill! So stupid, but even stupider is who they sent out there! We go the appraisal back and it said the master bathroom toilet didn't work and that the garage door didn't go up or down. Will and I got a little worried because the inspection from earlier came back all good! So Will and I went over to the house to check things out for ourselves. First we go into the master bathroom, I look down in the toilet and the is no water... of course it isn't going to flush. Will looks back behind the toilet and the watter was turned off, so all he did was turn it on. We waited for the toilet to fill up, then flushed it! So it did work... Then we go down to the garage, open the door from the house and walk in. I look up and the plug is hanging down from the opener thing! No wonder it wouldn't open or close... IT WASN'T PLUGGED IN!!!! This guys is so dumb... I am a girl and don't know a whole lot about house repairs or maitence, but I solved both problems... with the help of my handy husband!!! So we still were a little concerned and wanted to plug in the garage to make sure that it really did worked... but we had no ladder. So what did we do... I jumped up on Will's shoulders and plugged it in, now the logical thing to do would be to get down and push the button, but I stayed up on Will's shoulders and pushed it. So, now our future neighbors will think that we are weidos, walking around the garage on each others shoulders! :) Well, sorry there is no pictures, but once it is offically and finally ours don't you worry!!! Needless to say... I should be getting paid the $500 that we had to pay that idiot! But I am glad that everything does work.... and hopefully the waiting won't be too much longer!
I was trying to keep up with my one post a week and this was about the only funny or exciting thing that happened!
Oh...wait... I almost forgot.... The last day of school was on Thursday!!!! I have offically finished my first year of teaching!!!

WOW!

Well, Will was home, but left again! He had a blast and got some amazing pictures! He left again with his dad to go on a guys trip to watch some baseball games and they even got to catch a professional basketball game too! Anyway, it was nice to have him back for a few days... they were all jammed packed and fun-filled!

To start off we got to spend all day Monday together, since it was Memorial day and I had off school! We hung out for the sfternoon by the pool with his family! It was a ton of fun!

Then Tuesday started off with a text from my mom saying that she would bring Alexa by to Will later (to babysit) because my cousin Stephanie had gone into labor, and Alyssa had gone down to the hospital! This was quite nerve wracking, as some of you who read this may already know, a few weeks ago Stephanie went in for a Ultrasound and they noticed something wasn't right with the baby's heart. This was a surprise to them becasue she was due June 14 and they had never noticed anything before in the ultrasounds or tests. They then went back in for more test and found out that the baby would also be down syndrom. This came as quite a shock to the entire family. Not only would they have this special baby, but it was going to have other medical problems that would be difficult to deal with. When the news first came the outcome looked very grim. They had originally planned to be enduced on June 8th so that all the doctors needed could be there in case there were any complications. But this little guy had an agenda of his own. He came 3 weeks early, and with all these other things going on in his little body we were all a little worried, to say the least, but he did great! He was supposed to be in the hospital for 7 days, and that was even for when they were planning on him coming, with coming early we weren't sure how long he'd be there, but after only four days the doctors were so impressed with him that he got to go home! He is now homw with mommy, daddy, and big sister! He is so special and such a blessing! We love you Baby Noah!

Will got the privilage of watching not only Alexa, but also Madelynn, while her mom and dad were at the hospital with the baby. Alexa is 4 and Madelynn is 2. They are a handful, but Will did a great job... however- he is now rethinking how many kids he had originally wanted!

The rest of the week didn't slow down any more! I stayed late a school (since Will was gone anyway) Wednesday and worked on report cards. Then Thursday, we had a special Author's Night under the stars at school. The parents came and got to see all the writting that their children had been doing all year. It was really great and a lot of fun, but also very tiring! Once again I was there late on Friday... FINISHED my report cards! YAY!!!! The year is almost done, and soon all the kids will be gone. Thursday is my last day with them. As much as I complain and stress over school, I am going to miss those kids...

I am on a role here, with one post a week. Hopefully I can keep it up!

Magic

So, It has been a long week, but Will should be on the first of his three flights home! Yay!!! Part of me is excited but the other part of me starts to worry again! Can't wait to hear from him! Anyway... while he has been gone i have realized how amazing he is. I knew that he was awesome, but having him gone has made me see how much he does for me. Aside from just being my rock and sanity and safety he does so much more for me too!

Here are a few things I have come to see don't just magically happen...

1. the dishes don't just jump into the dishwasher by themselves

2. the garbage doesn't have legs and walk out to the curb by itself

3. the mailman doesn't bring the mail in my house and put it on my counter for me to go through

4. my 6 pairs of shoes don't walk to the closet on their own either (I never noticed how many different shoes I wear daily!)

5. clean clothes don't jsut fold and hang themself and apear in my drawers and closet

I miss my husband (and all that he does for me) I can't wait to wrap my arms around him... I also can't wait for all these things to magically be done for me again! :)

new at this whole posting deal...

Ok so as you can see I have now mastered the posting, with only one mess up. I don't know how that happened and I don't know how to get it off, but oh well! My next endeavor is to conquer the art of posting pictures!

lonely...i'm so lonely....

Well I promised that once I had something exciting to write about I would post it. Well, number one today is my one and only day off this school year. Being a new teacher, you only get one day (if you get sick you can use those, but only one personal day). I have been saving it all year in case I needed it or wanted to go out of town or spend the day with my husband (who I rarely see since we have opposite schedules...) Well the time came, and today is the day. I had to use it or I would lose it. I thought this day would be so great, but it is turing out to be lamer than ever. First of all, being a teacher is not easy, but planning for someone else to come in and teach your kids is even harder. I spent just as much time planning for this one day and getting everything for the sub as I would have if I worked a normal 6 hour day! Not to mention, this brings me to blog topic number two, I now am sitting at home doing nothing because I took Will to the airport at 4:30 this morning. He is going to be in South Africa for 10 days for a Summer class, then when he gets back he is leaving again for Cleveland with his dad! I didn't think that him being gone would be so bad, and I held it together all week.... until I gave him one last hug and walked away! I realized how much different this is then when I lived in Utah and he lived down here, I thought this was going to be a piece of cake compared to that, but I was wrong! I already miss him. I have anxiety as it is, but this is horrible not knowing where he is at.... somewhere in the air, over the ocean , between here and another continent! Anyway... enough of my boohoooing... I have come to the conclusion that as much as I complain about work, I would rather just be there... especially if this is how I use my days off, husbandless and doing nothing!
